Coloring the Sound Effect Lettering
Sound Effect Lettering in Frame 2
Color the "Whoosh" layer in Frame 2.
1On the [Layer] palette, click [Show/hide layer] next to the "Sound effect" folder to show the "Sound effect" folder.
2Click the [▼] mark next to the "Sound effect" folder to open the folder.
3While the "Whoosh" layer is selected on the [Layer] palette, click [New Raster Layer].
A new raster layer is created above the "Whoosh" layer.
4Turn on [Clip at Layer Below] on the [Layer] palette.
5Select the [Gradient] tool → [Foreground to background] sub tool.
On a palette such as the [Color Wheel] palette, set navy blue as the main color and reddish purple as the sub color.
6Drag as shown below to draw a gradient from the foreground color to the background color.
7On the [Layer] palette, change the [Blending mode] of the layer where the gradient was drawn to [Screen] so that the white edges remain.
